If anyone has any comments or concerns let me know, It's been almost a decade since I posted an actual Campaign LP on this site, so I may be a little rusty. I am playing through the game on Very Hard, providing commentary during gameplay sections and staying silent during cutscenes. I don't wish to give away too much, as the premise is explained succinctly at the start of the first mission, but if you enjoy stories of the Cold War going hot, you'll likely enjoy this one. Watch surprisingly deep characters deal with personal issues, loss, and a lack of batteries for their portable CD player. World in Conflict has one of the best, if not the best plot of any 'Real World' RTS.
The main reason I'm doing this LP is to get a good version of the games plot and cutscenes onto this site.
Soviet Assault was an expansion pack that added additional Campaign missions from the Soviet side, as well as new Multiplayer Maps. Eschewing the typical RTS formula of the time, the game features essentially no economy, instead focusing on aggressive micro and unit play in order to secure tactical advantages on the field. World in Conflict is a 2007 Real Time Strategy game by Massive Entertainment (Makers of Ground Control).
